Blogger who posted cartoons of Christ online being investigated
Straits Times, 13 June 2006
IT is saddening to hear that many people are misusing blogs. The airing of their personal views have become offensive and insulting to readers. I feel disappointed that people have gotten themselves involved with the law as a reult of uncensored writing. The number of youths being charged for posting unsightful remarks or pictures on their blogs has increased. This has also caught the attention of many elders. I find it interesting on how fast news travels from a person's website/online diary (diary) to the media. Indeed this shows that technology has improved so rapidly that righteous social issues do get neglected. However, i feel that one must not generalize all bloggers are insensitive when writing their views. Hence, i feel respect is an important factor here.
